Local businesses in Wells City have reported a rise in shop thefts, including some high-value incidents. In response, the local beat team has met with business owners  and those affected to discuss the situation and explore collaborative solutions.

The Neighbourhood team received a report from one of our local shop owners that a theft happened in there shop.
The theft was caused by a young offender.
The suspect was identified and the stolen item was returned.
Another offender had been summonsed to court for shop theft in Wells.

There has been reports over the past week of Anti Social Behaviour around Cathedral Green and Ethel Street, Wells City where people have been banging on front doors and windows of residents.

The Wells beat team has attended spoken with the local residents about the issue and we are working to identify the offenders.
