Current Priorities

Issue

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team will conduct high visibility foot patrols within areas of Clevedon in line with the Street safe service.

In 2025 we will continue to keep the public safe within the community and encourage the public to report any areas of concern using the street safe service

Street Safe is a service that allows you to report safety concerns in public places without giving us your name (anonymously). This includes issues like poorly lit streets, abandoned buildings, or vandalism, as well as instances where you feel unsafe due to someone following or verbally abusing you.

Please note: StreetSafe is not for reporting crimes or emergencies. If you witness a crime or emergency, please call the police on 101 or report a crime online. If you’re unsure whether something is a crime or not, read our advice.

Examples of situations that should be reported to StreetSafe include a poorly lit alleyway that makes you feel unsafe or a park with broken equipment that poses a safety hazard.

Over the recent months we have been experiencing an increase in anti-social behaviour around the area of Queens Square Clevedon, this has included Street drinking and drug dealing.

As a Neighbourhood Team we have been conducting patrols within the area  working with North Somerset Community Response to tackle this and to help educate the persons involved.

We hold a Meet Us Beat Surgery  once a month within the Square please check the events page for Clevedon for the next date when you can come and talk to members of the Neighbourhood Policing Team

Walk And Talk

Avon and Somerset Police are inviting women to meet with female police officers and PCSOs to show them areas in which they feel vulnerable or unsafe in their local communities.

In 2025 we continue to encourage Women to contact Avon and Somerset Police to engage with local officers .

Walk and Talks are open to women aged 18 and above who wish to share their worries or concerns regarding their safety in the local area with officers.

What to expect

  • You will be paired with a female police officer or PCSO
  • The walks will take place at a mutually convenient time for you
  • They will last around 30 minutes
  • They will be tailored to the areas you wish to address or discuss

This is an opportunity to raise any worries or concerns over your safety in your local area so the police, along with partner agencies, can see what they can do to improve women’s safety on our streets.

You can register for a visit by filling out our Walk and Talk form.

Once we have received the form, a member of your local Neighbourhood Policing Team will contact you to arrange a convenient time.

Currently, this initiative is taking place in most parts of Avon and Somerset. However, we hope to roll it out to all areas of our force in the near future.

If you are interested in having Walk and Talks in your area and it is not listed above, email [email protected] to register your interest.
