Neighbourhood Policing Team for Nailsea.
Current Priorities
Issue
The local neighbourhood team have received reports from residents of Nailsea complaining about inconsiderate parking during peak school hours in and around Nailsea.
This includes stopping on zigzags, parking on double yellow lines and causing obstructions on the road.
We may be at your local schools during peak hours to encourage safer parking, if you see us, please say hello.
We are working closely with the council and other agencies to manage these issues. If you do see a vehicle causing an obstruction, please report this to us via online or 101.
Action
There has been an increase in the number of school patrols to address these issues, engaging with people parking illegally and inconsiderately, giving suitable word of advice to parents/ guardians.
We are working with the school to get messages out to parents/guardians reminding them of their responsibilities when parking to keep pupils at the school safe and reducing the impact on local residents.
Issue
We have received an increasing number of reports regarding thefts from motor vehicles in Nailsea, as well as sightings of suspicious individuals attempting to gain access to vehicles.
These incidents are more common during the evening and night-time hours. In response, the Nailsea neighbourhood team will be conducting increased visible patrols in residential areas during these times.
If you have any concerns or observe any suspicious activity, please report this via 101.
Action
We have increased the number of patrols done by local officers both on foot and vehicle.
Issue
There have been increasing reports that there has been an influx of Anti-social behaviour in and around Nailsea especially on the roof above Poundland.
The Nailsea Neighbourhood team are working with partner agencies to identify individuals involved to take action.
If you have any information regarding this, please contact us using 101.
Action
We have identified a number of youths involved in this ASB and are visiting parents to deliver a warning letter and giving stern words of advice to the youths involved.
