Night Time Economy in Bridgwater Town Centre

The Neighbourhood Team are completing regular patrols of Bridgwater Town Centre to reduce reports related to disorder, underage drinking, drugs and anti-social behaviour. The aim to assist the public in feeling safe especially in the evening.

We also attend Pub Watch meetings where discussion is made around issues identified, banning orders are issued through Pub Watch, the Neighbourhood Team assist with delivery of banning letters.

NPT continuing to work with Licensing Officers, and Pub Watch is also continuing.

The Neighbourhood team are completing hi-visibility patrols to try and disrupt the people committing shop theft . We aim to do this with regular engagement with local store and dealing with any offences or Anti social behaviour robustly and positively.   

The local neighbourhood team are doing regular visits to local businesses as well as proactive patrols to try and deter any issues and to reassure shop owners and staff of our presence.

The Neighbourhood Team has been working with the Anti-Social Behaviour Team in Avon and Somerset, Town Wardens, local businesses and the Councils to tackle the problems that young people have been causing the town. The Neighbourhood Team have been completing Proactive hi-visibility patrols to engage with the youth in the town and to deter this behaviour.
