Current Priorities
Issue
One of the most frequent complaints we get from members of the public is the speed of vehicles in our towns and villages.
If this affects you, perhaps you would like to consider giving up some time as a Community SpeedWatch (CSW) volunteer? You can dedicate as much or as little time to this as you wish.
You could be part of a team monitoring the speed of vehicles in any given area, plus you will receive all the necessary equipment and training with support from police.
If you would like to find out more, visit Community SpeedWatch or contact one of the beat team here at Williton Police Station.
Action
Monksilver CSW should be operational now!
If you are interesting in volunteering or setting up a scheme in your area then please get in touch online to raise your interest.
Issue
We are focusing on high-visibility patrols in the hotspot locations following incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Action
We continue to work alongside our ASB team and partner agencies to reduce anti-social behaviour in our area.
If you live in supported living or housing association accommodation then they may be able to assist with any reports of ASB. Please make sure to inform them of any incidents of ASB.
If you are currently experiencing ASB, do not hesitate to make a report to us by:
calling 999 in the event of an emergency
reporting ASB online
Issue
Intelligence-led policing to tackle illegal vehicles on the road, such as no tax, insurance or licence.
Action
With the information given to us by members of our community, we have worked alongside our Roads policing team and local response teams to apprehend anti-social drivers.
