Current Priorities
Issue
Pub Watch is when the Police and local Licensees meet to discuss incidents that occurred within their establishments. After these have been discussed we then as a collective decide on what positive action can be taken in order to prevent this from happening again.
The main purpose of these meetings are to ensure you, as members of the Wellington Community, are safe and can enjoy your much deserved down time in the pubs and licensed premises.
A number of pubs confiscated fake ID's from youths. These ID's have been handed to Police, who will be visiting all concerned.
Action
Pub Watch meeting deferred due to Easter break
Issue
Following reports from residents in the area of Millstream Gardens and Weavers Reach in Tonedale, Officers will be carrying out hi-visibility patrols to identify youths and collect evidence of those involved in ASB in the area.
Action
Group of youths responsible for multiple incidents of ASB and low level crime. Local officers are collating evidence ready for arrest and ASB enforcement
