The Neighbourhood policing team are currently out and about in the community, trying to reach some of our diverse and hidden communities.

They aim to build engagement and provide access to all that may require the services of the police, or other local agencies.

Following an increase in reports of drug-related activity in and around Newtown Park, Hassell Drive and the surrounding area, the NPT will be focusing on hi-vis patrols and targeting offenders to disrupt activity and bring about a safer neighbourhood for all residents.

Blending of hi-vis and covert patrols to effectively disrupt supply and build up intelligence profiles on offenders and known nominals.

Following recent events the local policing team are keen and committed to providing open reassurance to the residents of this beat. This will be achieved through a mixture of vehicular, cycle and foot patrols.

We will be trying to hold engagement events, where possible, and maintaining high visibility policing efforts.

Over the summer demand period the team will be as visible as possible, making sure you know who your local PCs and PCSOs are.
