Issue
There has been an increase in vehicles being broken in to and items taken in the Horfield area, this is taking place overnight, offenders are taking various items.
We urge residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and ensure anything that does remain is out of sight to reduce the vehicle being targeted.
Neighbourhood officers have been carrying out both Hi-Visibility patrols as well as covert operations, this has resulted in some stolen items being returned to their rightful owners, they will continue to conduct these patrols.

Over the past few months there has been a increase in vehicles being broken in to in the Horfield area.
Officers have conducted covert and overt operations around the location, however at this time no offenders have been identified.
We urge residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and ensure anything that does remain in their vehicle is out of sight to reduce the vehicle being targeted.

Help us stop drugs destroying your community.
Drugs cause problems in all communities, neighbourhood officers are conducting patrols and targeting known areas where drugs are being used and sold.
Officers have recently dealt with several offenders in relation to drugs resulting in positive outcomes including two properties being closed where drug use and dealing have taken place.

Officers from the Horfield Neighbourhood team, along with other colleagues have been targeting known persons, addresses and vehicles that are involved in the use, dealing and supply of Drugs.
A number of vehicles have been stopped where a proportion of drivers have failed a roadside drugs test.
These offenders have been reported for the offence and are awaiting court dates.
A number of people have also been stop searched in relation to the supply of drugs, where offenders have been reported for the offence and drugs have been taken off of the streets.

Issue
There have been an increase in poor parking in and around the Horfield area, especially around the Schools.
Neighbourhood officers have issued several Traffic Offence Reports given to offending vehicles.
This is predominantly significant around our local Schools and can cause children and young people to have to walk in the road.

Action
Parking around the Schools continues to be a problem, a number of vehicles have been issued with fines for their parking along with owners given words of advice.
We are aware that there are issues in the area however parking safe and legal is everyone’s responsibility.
