Current Priorities
Issue
Ongoing issues with motorbikes being ridden in a dangerous and illegal manner around the Knowle and Filwood area. The Officers in Charge of this priority are: PC Will Johnson-Pyatt and PCSO Mark Thomas.
This priority has been established through consultations at community meetings and resident forums. If you have any information relating to the riders or locations of these bikes then please use the ‘Contact the Team’ form at the bottom of our beat page.
Action
In June, we conducted two days of targeted action to address this local issue. The results include reporting three riders for driving otherwise in accordance of a licence, recovering two stolen motorbikes, and arresting one individual for multiple offences, including riding a stolen motorbike failing to stop for officers. In addition to responding to calls about this issue, we have more operations planned throughout the year.
Upcoming Events
Eagle House Residents Meeting
This meeting has been set up by residents living within Newquay Road and surrounding areas. However, it is open to all residents within the Knowle and Filwood wards. The purpose of these meetings is to provide an opportunity for residents to come together to discuss and address local issues with support from local police, councillors, and other agencies. Residents who attend will be able to; discuss issues affecting people’s safety, feelings of safety and quality of life agree priorities for local action to solve problems provide feedback on what has been achieved and what issues have been dealt with.
