Since the beginning of July there has been one residential burglary within the Studham/Whipsnade area of Bedfordshire. Our priority was to reduce burglaries and to improve the confidence that residents have in the police. We have engaged with residents regularly to offer security advice and to refer vulnerable residents, if necessary for support. We have also engaged with local councillors and empowered residents by looking into to set up a Neighbourhood watch scheme, however this was already in place. We patrolled the area regularly and held numerous engagements in the area to offer support and advice and for residents to air their concerns. We have also put up posters to deter suspects in areas that are vulnerable. Burglaries have dramatically reduced and we will continue to support and engage with residents.
