Using a combination of your feedback and our own data, we have set the below priorities for your local neighbourhood policing team across the March area of Fenland for July to September 2025 are:

• High-visibility policing in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres
• Anti-social behaviour in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres – including e-scooter use, street drinking, drug dealing and illegal parking
• Retail crime across March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres – focusing on prevention of offences impacting the business community, as well as enforcement against offenders

High-visibility policing in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres

- Officers have conducted a significant number of high-visibility patrol hours across all areas. These patrols are an essential part of our work, ensuring that officers remain a visible presence to deter criminal activity, reassure the public, and reinforce the role of neighbourhood policing within our communities.

Anti-social behaviour in March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres – including e-scooter use, street drinking, drug dealing and illegal parking

- The team has continued to address issues such as street drinking, e-scooter misuse, drug dealing, and illegal parking.
•A number of warrants have been executed in relation to drug supply, resulting in arrests and the removal of harmful substances from our streets.
•Officers have carried out numerous stop searches and arrested drug drivers, helping to reduce risks to road users.
•Targeted work has also been undertaken around illegal parking, with enforcement and educational activity highlighted across our social media channels.

Retail crime across March, Chatteris and Whittlesey town centres – focusing on prevention of offences impacting the business community, as well as enforcement against offenders

- Our Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) have been actively engaging with retailers across the area. These interactions strengthen relationships with local businesses, enhance collaboration, and serve as an effective deterrent to crime and disorder within our town centres.
