You were concerned about XL Bully dogs in the area following the horrific attack on an elderly gentleman in Dallam.

With the help of reports and intelligence from the community, several suspected XL Bullies have been identified and assessments are in process to establish if the dogs are Bullies or other types. We will continue to act on intelligence from our communities and need this essential information to keep Bewsey and Whitecross as safe as possible.

Anti-social behaviour was an issue in Bewsey with incidents of doors being kicked by youths and low level damage to fences etc.

Following a report of the front door of an elderly resident being kicked by youths who had subsequently ran away, PC MURPHY and PCSO BICKERTON attended the location to offer reassurance to the victim, who told them that this was the 3rd night in a row that she had been terrorized by youths. Initial enquiries at the scene identified that the youths had been captured on CCTV kicking the gate of a neighbouring address. The officers recognized one of the youths in the CCTV and went directly to the home address of the youth, where they found the suspects for the incident. All parents have been spoken to and issued with parent alert letters and the youths have been dealt with by community resolution.
Following the rapid actions of the officers in identifying and dealing with the youths responsible, there have been no further incidents at the address.
