Speeding.

Speed deterrence has been continuous conducted across roads in Warrington East, some roads include Admirals Road, Common Lane, Glazebrook Lane, Padgate Lane.
Operation Deceleration is a road safety operation which has been set up by ourselves to try and reduce the speeding and parking issues which is always highlighted. During the month of May, Operation Deceleration started, and we looked at a range of different ways to try and combat these issues.
Local schools designed speeding and parking tickets which we would then use to give out. During the course of this, we continued to work with the local schools and conducted a speeding operation, this allowed the children to use the radar, then with the help of ourselves pull over the cars who exceeded the speed limit. They were spoken to by the children and given out their own designed ticket.

We have used a mixture of Trucam and radar to try to reduce the speed across all of Warrington East and target the roads which residents have complained about. During this quarter, there has been a total of 37 Trucam sites visited. We would like to thank the majority of drivers who have adhered to the speed limit.
