Victoria Road is a residential area with retail and takeaway establishments around the local area. It has come to the local community and the polices attention that there are ongoing issues with individuals drinking open alcohol containers towards the later evenings. This has been raised through residents’ voice in the local area.

Regular foot and mobile patrol have been conducted. Individuals have been spoken to and advice has been given around the Cheshire West Council Public Space Protection Order. Cheshire West and Chester Councils Licencing has been spoken to as well as the Cheshire Police licensing officer to provide enforcement on the sale of alcohol in the local community. This is a continuous priority on the Ellesmere Port Town Ward and discussions with partner agencies will continue.
