Residents of an area in Ellesmere Port raised concerns for rogue door to door traders in the area.

Officers began enquiries and received a report from an elderly, vulnerable resident who believed they may have been the victim of fraud. The victim had asked for a small job, which eventually became bigger and bigger as a result of the rogue trader. The victim paid out around £10,000, and was worse off after the cowboy building work. An investigation was carried out which identified the male responsible for the fraudulent works. He was arrested and remanded to prison, to prevent any further offending, whilst he awaits his court hearing.
