Speed was a concern across the ward.
Action
Community speed watch locations have been monitored across the ward, with 30-minute sessions at each location. This coincides with Operation Spotlight, a national speed watch day held on 11/07/25. The following roads were monitored: Ash Road, Blake Lane, Mere Road, Norley Road, Moss Lane, Acton Lane, Hill Top Road, Farm Road, Forest Street, West Road, Lime Avenue, Walnut Avenue, Wood Lane and Well Lane. A total of 308 vehicles were checked and 24 police warning letters were issued for excess speed.
