•Liaised with Collision reduction and safer highways
•We will be in the area carrying out speed checks
•Speed strips added across road at The Green and The Hill to collect traffic data
•Speed awareness using community speed gun
•High visibility patrols around Millom including Old Ironworks Nature Reserve and local footpaths (off road bikes and quadbikes)
•Off road motor bike located and Seized by officers
•Information received of hot spot location which will be targeted by officers
•Traffic monitoring strips implemented in main identified areas
•Numerous Vehicles Stopped and appropriate action taken
•We continue to get request to target areas in and around Millom, Haverigg and rural areas

- 24/03/2025 - Male arrested suspicion of Dangerous Driving Currently on Police bail
- 23/03/2025 Vehicle seized for no Road Tax
- 23/03/2025 Bike seized follow road collision for document offences
- 31/03/2025 - Vehicle seized failed to stop for police.
- 05/04/2025 - Male arrested for drug matters and driving offences in Millom and prosecution pending.
- 20/04/2025 - Male arrested for driving whilst over the prescribed limit for cannabis and prosecution pending.
- 03-05-2025 - Offroad motorcycle seized and driver reported for traffic offences.
01.06.2025 - Off road bike seized after being ridden on the sand dunes
08.06.2025 - Vehicle seized following no Tax since 2023
09.06.2025 - male arrested fort driving under the influence of drugs
21.06.2025 - Silecroft patrol following information of vehicles using the road from Main street to the beach as a race track
- Speed checks with speed gun at Kirksanton and Silecroft on 12th June, 22nd June and 30th June due to complaints raised from PACT survey and local Police desks. Positive action has been taken on a number of drivers identified driving over permitted speeds for these locations. Checks in Millom and Haverigg on 22nd June including Tesco's, Lancashire Road, The Square, The Old Ironworks Nature Reserve and Poolside (Haverigg).
1 off road bike was seized on the dunes at Haverigg - these are a SSSI area and as such riding an unauthorised motor vehicle is NOT permitted added to this said motorbike was seen in Millom/Haverigg driving in a inappropriate manner.

1st July: Checks in Kirksanton and Silecroft (road from village to beach car park) with speed gun - nothing of note to report
2nd July: Checks in Kirksanton and Silecroft including beach car park manner of driving, ASB driving and use of speed gun - nothing of note to report although some positive comments by local residents taking dogs for a walk
2nd July Checks on Old Iron Works Nature Reserve and surrounding areas for "off road bikes" - all in order
7th July: Speed checks in Kirksanton and Silecroft - all in order.
21 August 2025 - Male driver arrested following a collision on Horn Hill for driving whilst over the prescribed limit for alcohol. He has been charged and will appear in court on 22 September.

- 05-04-2025 - Male arrested for drug supply and enquiries ongoing with a view to securing a prosecution..
- 11/04/2025 - police operation conducted with three warrants in the Millom area executed under Misuse of Drugs Act.
- 09.06.2025- Male arrested following failing a road side drug test
- On 12th June a male was arrested drug driving in Millom area.
-On 25 August 2025 an 18 year old male was stopped and searched on Mainsgate Road and found to be in possession of cannabis. He was dealt with by referral to drug support services.
