Off Road Bikes Speeding Traffic / Dangerous Parking

Action

Over the past few months, we have received several reports of off-road motorbikes riding along the restricted byways in New Mills. There are several of these however the majority have been seen near Brook Bottom Road. We have been conducting regular high visibility patrols as well as liaising with our off-road motorbike team. If you have any information regarding groups that are travelling into New Mill to ride on these restricted Byways please get in touch. Speeding has also been highlighted as an issue and Community speed watches are being conducted in the areas that have reported excess speeding. We are also seeking more volunteers to help with Community Speed watch, specifically for New Mills. Please get in touch for further information or to register an interest. There has also been an issue with dangerous parking around Schools in all our areas and we will be working with School/parents to educate about putting Childrens safety first when coming out of school. Issues are also present on Market Street, New Mills with cars parking along the double yellow lines.
