1.We have seen a rise in the number of retail thefts occurring in the area, We are collaborating closely with businesses to reduce the number of thefts. We will increase patrols in the areas and pay visit to our retailers to offer reassurance and support we will also offer Crime reduction advice if required . 2.Concerns have been raised recently about the parking in and around all our local schools and in certain residential areas. We as a team are looking at educating motorists and will patrolling in the areas at the relevant times. We would encourage anyone who is wanting to report illegal parking to the councils Civil Parking Enforcement Team who are responsible for most parking offences like double yellow lines. You can do this by calling Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190 or emailing [email protected] 3.Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents where we have started to do enforcement with the assistance from the forces Road Safety Team (CREST). Residents have already set up Community Speedwatch schemes which are running well and would encourage anyone who is interested in setting up a scheme in their area to email the Speedwatch Team.
