There has been a long-term issue with anti-social vehicles and boy racers in Buxton. Residents of Buxton have raised issues for many years, and we have looked at all options over the years with no progress ever being made to alleviate this issue. Your Buxton town centre team have been out at Spring Gardens car park putting up new S.59 Warning signs Our priority is making sure your concerns are heard and that we strive to ensure that we continue to make Buxton a safer and better place for all. If you have any concerns or issues in your local area, please make contact to speak to your local Safer Neighbourhood Team who are here to help. As good weather approaches, We are currently seeing a rise in anti-social behaviour in around the town centre with businesses and other parts of the community being affected by the behaviour of some. We are reminding you to be mindful and alert as we are working closely with businesses to come together to take a joint approach to tackle any behaviour which is affecting our town. If you are an adult please drink responsibly and remember local carnivals and well dressings are for families and children too. parents we ask of you Do you know where your Child is ?? and importantly what are they doing ? Drug dealing and drug use is continuing to be a priority for us as a safer neighbourhood team. We are continuing to get reports of drug dealing and concerns around the use of drugs in the town centre. The team will be continuing to conduct patrols in hot spot areas where these issues are taking place.
