Speeding and inconsiderate driving Theft and Burglary Parking

Action

Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents where we have started to do enforcement with the assistance from the forces Road Safety Team (CREST). Residents have already set up Community Speedwatch schemes which are running well and would encourage anyone who is interested in setting up a scheme in their area to email the Speedwatch Team. [email protected]. We have increased patrols at weekend and alongside our Roads Policing Team have been tackling Nuisance Motorbikes and speeding drivers. We are helping reduce retail thefts occurring in the area, We are collaborating closely with businesses to reduce the number of thefts. We will increase patrols in the areas and pay visit to our retailers to offer reassurance and support we will also offer Crime reduction advice if required if you as a homeowner would like crime reduction advice please contact your local team. Concerns have been raised recently about the parking in and around our local schools and in certain residential areas. We as a team are looking at educating motorists and will patrolling in the areas at the relevant times. We would encourage anyone who is wanting to report illegal parking to the councils Civil Parking Enforcement Team who are responsible for most parking offences like double yellow lines.
