1 Anti-Social Behaviour
2 Drug dealing
3 Nuisance Off road bikes - E- scooter
4 Vulnerability – Cuckooing

Action

1. Anti-Social Behaviour
The Safer Neighbourhood Team will carry out high-visibility patrols in locations such as Glengarry Way, Islay Road, and Abington Street.
We will engage with young people, providing educational inputs at schools and signposting them to diversionary activities in the area.
Our Youth Engagement Team will arrange mobile youth provision, supporting communities and raising awareness of how anti-social behaviour impacts the community.
2. Drug Dealing
The team will conduct a mixture of high-visibility and plain-clothes patrols in the area to target drug dealers.
We will develop and act on community intelligence, stop and search those suspected of drug dealing, and execute drug warrants to achieve positive outcomes.
We aim to reassure the community that those responsible will be held to account.
3. Nuisance Bikes
Reports of nuisance off-road bikes in the area have increased.
High-visibility patrols are taking place in hotspot locations such as Islay Road and Redwood Park.
Our Roads Policing Team has been heavily involved in efforts to combat this issue, and operations have taken place.
We will tackle this issue by working with the community and partner agencies to identify offenders.
Riders identified will be issued Section 59 warnings or have their bikes seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
Public nuisance prosecutions will be considered for individuals identified.
4. Vulnerability – Cuckooing
Regular high-visibility patrols will be carried out.
We continue to work closely with the local authority and our partners from local housing associations.
This collaboration allows us to share information and identify those at risk of having their properties taken over by drug dealers.
Together, we ensure our most vulnerable victims are visited regularly—sometimes daily—offering reassurance and support.
We have also taken robust action against offenders.
