The Larklands and Gallows Inn Safer Neighbourhood area is mainly a residential area and is situated within walking distance of Ilkeston town centre. However it does have two infant/junior schools and the South East Derbyshire College within the area. The area around Gallows Inn borders on the county boundary with Nottinghamshire.

1. We will analyse police data to identify local hot spots for Alcohol related ASB incidents particularly focusing on Ilkeston Market Place. We will seek identities of individuals involved to tackle these issues and ensure regular high visibility patrols in designated areas are carried out to provide reassurance. Joint work with Erewash Borough Council, especially in the Public Spaces Protection Areas, will be carried out so involved individuals can be held accountable for their actions by way of enforcement penalty notices were applicable. Officers to conduct regular patrols in the town centre and surrounding areas. 2. Regular engagement visits and shopwatch meetings will be conducted with retail premises within the Ilkeston area to provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice. Engagement with key stakeholders such as local businesses and shop owners. Review incident reports using police data to identify any individuals involved and take robust action to prevent deterioration of crimes and incidents being reported. Provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice to smaller retail premises. 3. A mixture of high visibility and plain clothes patrols in hot spot locations. Regularly review crime trend information and intelligence to identify hot spot locations and potential suspects. Work with partners to prioritise community messaging and crime prevention advice
