Working closely with businesses within the City Centre to continue building a strong relationship whilst providing crime prevention advice, holding of events and community catch ups. Understanding each individual businesses needs and working together to develop a solution to their problems.
There have been a number of positive stop searches and arrests made in relation to the supply of controlled drugs. Those involved in the drugs trade will continue to be targeted by SNT officers, supported by specialist Police units. Through listening to the public and through regular patrols of our patch we have identified areas which seem to attract youths who cause ASB. Regular patrols and consistency when dealing with the individuals involved have worked well as a deterrent. We either provide words of advice, use of dispersal powers to leave the City, deal with them by arrest or have a multi-agency approach. Through community intelligence and regular patrols, we have identified regular offenders. We take positive action where we can and disrupt their behaviours using bail conditions, Criminal Behaviour Orders and dispersal orders.
