Shildon Neighbourhood Policing Team: Tackling Illegal Riders and Off-Road Nuisance Head-On
Shildon’s Neighbourhood Policing Team has placed the issue of illegal road use and off-road motorcycle nuisance firmly at the top of its agenda, responding to ongoing concerns raised by the local community.
This priority reflects the team’s continued dedication to keeping Shildon safe, peaceful, and enjoyable for all who live and work here. Illegal riding not only disrupts daily life but also poses a serious risk to public safety—something the team is determined to address head-on.
By making this a key focus, the team is sending a clear and confident message: reckless and anti-social behaviour on Shildon’s roads and open spaces will not be overlooked. The commitment to community wellbeing remains at the heart of everything the team stands for.

The policing team recognises the crucial role these businesses play in the life of the town and is determined to ensure they can operate in a safe and secure environment.
