Current Priorities

Issue

ASB / Youth related crime
Licensing checks
Rural crime
School engagement
Theft of motor vehicles
Off -road bikes

Issue

Our rural SPOC works closely with our local farmers to tackle rural crime and protect our farms. As majority of rural thefts are carried out by cross-boarder criminals, the rurali initiative gives us the ability to liaise with surrounding force areas so we can adapt, prepare & overcome rural crime.

Action

If you are a local farmer and are interest, please get in touch with PCSO Sophie Mcmullan, your rural SPOC, to find out more.

Issue

We know that there are off-road bikes being used anti-socially around our area. However we need your help in being able to identify riders/ storage lockups. If you see off road bikes being driven dangerously, please report this to us online, so that our statistics can more accurately reflect the issue.

Action

We have received no reports for Off Road Bikes in the month of August, please continue to report these online if you do spot any in the area.

We have issued two Traffic 183s in Fishburn through August for Anti Social driving of a vehicle, under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act, 2002.

Issue

With the summer holidays fast approaching, we expect to see a rise in youth-related ASB in the coming months. You have told us that the "pitt-wheel field" is a key hotspot, so during the holidays we will increase footpatrols in the area, and any ASB will be dealt with by way of referrals, speaking to parents/teachers and community payback.

Action

You may of noticed that last summer hundreds of trees were planted at the rear of the field, where off-road bikes were proving a nuisance. These saplings, now 1 year stronger, provide target hardening to the area, making it more difficult for anti-social bikes to use; all while helping the environment!

Issue

Residents have complained about unsightly vehicles , unkempt gardens and fly tipping around the area of Salvin Terrace and the nearby play park.

Action

on the 8th of July, the NPT conducted foot patrols in the area, along with County Councillor Ian Catchpole and SW114.

SW114 has issued a fine in relation to an untidy garden, ordering for waste to be removed.

3 abandoned Vehicles have been seized in total from Salvin Terrace , by PCSOs and SW114, for no insurance, no tax, no MOT and damage.
