ASB on Church Street
Action
•Regular patrols of area, in particular of an evening to combat ASB. Creation of the youths causing such issues are now on the ASB ladder leading to letters sent and parents visited.
•Church St including the Library have been integrated into a patrol hotspot. There has been significant increase in police patrol hours within this vicinity which has been noted by local community groups.
•This has been raised in multi-agency meetings and an agreed partnership approach with Durham Constabulary, Durham County Council (Safer Places Team, Neighbourhood Wardens), with regular meetings taking place.

Police have held regular meetings with the management where it was agreed during the peak of the issues they turn off the wifi and lighting outside of an evening which has led to a reduction in this type of ASB.
