Issue

The team are focussing on intelligence gathering and taking action to target those on illegal e bikes and scooters.

Action

Operations have been taking place, where different tactics have been used to identify those on illegal e bikes and scooters, gathering intelligence. Warrants have taken place , linked to those using the Bikes for drug dealing, carrying out ASB and stealing the bikes to re-sell. This work continues as intelligence is gathered. UPDATE one has been arrested for Theft of Bicycle and in a search of home address, Electric Bicycles were found. Daily SCAN analysis is being completed by the Team to collate all the intel and incidents reported of these Anti Social use of electric bikes/Scooters. More operations are to be planned into the Summer months.

Issue

The team are focussing on crime prevention for bicycle theft and Burglaries in the area

Action

Bike Marking Extravaganzas continue into the summer months, to encourage the Community to protect their bikes, so we can identify them if taken. Burglaries, especially theft of Bicycles from Garages has seen a significant increase over the last month and PCSOs continue to carry out local reassurance patrols, carry out House to House enquiries for any evidence opportunities. Community Alerts are being sent out to warn the community when these crimes occur. We recommend that the Community Signs up to the Community Alert Scheme, to be up to date of what is happening in their area. Work behind the scenes continues to deter and solve Acquisitive crime in the area

Issue

Cheltenham has seen an increase in Theft from Motor Vehicles, mainly from Vehicles that have been left unlocked and with valuables left in them and on display

Action

The Team are checking daily incidents reported of Theft From Motor Vehicle and where possible carrying out House to House in the area, to gain any intel or CCTV, Ring Doorbell footage. Community Alerts and Facebook advice has been sent out to the Public to remind them to lock their vehicles and to remove items . Work is ongoing.
