Issue

The team are focussing on intelligence gathering and taking action to target those on illegal e bikes and scooters. This includes focusing an increase on Theft of e bikes and pedal cycles.

Action

.Operations have been taking place, where different tactics have been used to identify those on illegal e bikes and scooters, gathering intelligence. Warrants have taken place , linked to those using the Bikes for drug dealing, carrying out ASB and stealing the bikes to re-sell. This work continues as intelligence is gathered. UPDATE one has been arrested for Theft of Bicycle and in a search of home address, Electric Bicycle;s were found. Daily SCAN analysis is being completed to collate all reports of ASB involving electric scooter and bikes are looked at. Patrols in the Park continue, as there has been reports of the bikes being ridden anti-socially in Pittville Park. Work continues into the Summer months.

An increase in ASB in Pittville Park has been reported, with rough sleepers and general ASB

Action

Local Patrols have increased and the work with the local Council Officers has helped to gain intelligence on whom is carrying out the ASB. Work continues into the summer months

Issue

Vulnerable members of the Public living within the local Community, who are persistently contacting Police and local Services, whilst causing concerns for the Community

Action

The Team have managed with SOLACE ( A partnership operation with Police , the Council and Housing) to get Injunctions granted by the court and issue ABC contracts to those that are causing issues within the local area, whilst working with the Police Vulnerability Team to address the needs of these vulnerable individuals. Work continues and breaches of injunctions are dealt with a.s.a.p. by the Team, to protect the local Community and the individual involved. Ongoing work continues with out partners CBH to help move those vulnerable persons to suitable accommodation.

Freshers Week for Unitversity Students

New Students will be arriving in Cheltenham to study at the University. The Student Union will have welcome parties and nights in the Town Centre. Local Police Team will work with the Uni, to deter ASB and safeguard these young adults, new to the area.
