Speeding and traffic related offences around Astley Bridge. Priority routes are Moss Bank Way & Blackburn Road. Peak times are from mid to late afternoon

Your local officers will be conducting speed enforcement in the area and dealing with motorists who exceed the limit. They will also be seizing uninsured vehicles and arresting anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We are also working with local schools to make the roads safer around schools.

Beggars approaching members of the public at Asda and Lidl in Astley Bridge.

Your local officers will be engaging with the beggars in the Astley Bridge area, specifically those around the Asda and Lidl supermarkets. We will be identifying them and working with partner agencies, such as Bolton Council's Rough Sleeping team and ACHIEVE to ensure all relevant support is in place/offered. Where necessary, beggars will be prosecuted under the Vagrancy Act.

Insecure vehicles being targeted and items stolen from inside overnight.

Your local officers will be following up on all reports of vehicle crime, collecting any available CCTV to identify those responsible and arrest them. We will also be using Bee in the Loop to send out crime prevention advice.
