They will also be seizing uninsured vehicles and arresting anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. We are also working with local schools to make the roads safer around schools.

Your local officers will be engaging with the beggars in the Astley Bridge area, specifically those around the Asda and Lidl supermarkets. We will be identifying them and working with partner agencies, such as Bolton Councils Rough Sleeping team and ACHIEVE to ensure all relevant support is in place/offered. Where necessary, beggars will be prosecuted under the Vagrancy Act.
