Using CCTV, house to house and visit to known offenders we continue to work in your area to prevent offences from occurring. A number of offenders have received custodial sentences which you may have seen on our BITL posts. We continue to work in your area using overt and covert tactics.

Shoplifting

We continue to work with businesses and partners to identify those responsible and apply for court order on conviction to prevent repeat harm and crime. We understand the harm shoplifting can cause within a community and will strive to identify those responsible at every opportunity.

Traffic related issues. Speeding/ASB/Off road Bikes and Safer Schools

Our officers are conducting regular speeding operations on the roads where residents have raised concerns regarding cars travelling at high speed. Every month we are conducting speeding operations to make your roads safer for everyone
Officers are attending schools during drop off and pick up times ensuring that those who use vehicles at those times do so in a safe and courteous manner. Working with the school and partners we give advice to drivers, warnings those that fail to heed these warnings and advice tickets.
Regarding off road bikes. Keep reporting so we can target these. We patrol based on the information we receive from the public. Tell us where and what the issue is. We can work with our partners to speak to parents and guardians of youths who may not be aware how their behaviour affects peoples quality of life through their actions.

Drugs

We review all the information that is passed on to us regarding drug possession and supply.
