The town centre Neighbourhood team are committed to robust policing of Oldham Town centre, in particular dealing with offences of shoplifting in all our retail premises, and preventing the theft from person offences such as pickpockets. We are also dedicated to keeping people safe during the night time economy.

A lot of hard work has gone into applying for criminal Behaviour orders for those convicted of repeat shoplifting offences, this restricts their behaviour for several years and results in prison sentences.
