Hedge End South Neighbourhood comprises of the parishes of Bursledon, Hamble and Hound.
This incorporates the villages of Bursledon, Lowford, old Netley, Netley Abbey, Hamble Le Rice and Hound.
The river Hamble has the largest waterside community in the south of England and Project Kraken is Hampshire Constabulary''s response to water related crime, anti-social behaviour, safety and crime prevention. Current Priorities

Issue

The use of E-Bikes on public road and public spaces in a manner that is dangerous and reckless putting members of the community at risk of serious harm

Action

Social Media campaign to seek community support with obtaining evidence of offences. To deter users of E-Bikes in the Hedge End South sector

Issue

Cars and motorbikes are using the public roads to speed. This puts members of the community at risk of serious harm.

Action

Enforcement by road traffic Police, increased neighbourhood Policing presence to deter and prevent offending. Survey the road network to see if its feasible to use traffic calming or speed enforcement cameras.

Issue

Seasonal issue of young people travelling to Hamble Quay to jump into the river on hot days. This brings with it ASB such as poor language, littering and public order offences.

Action

Partnership working with Youth Options, Harbour Master, Parish and Borough Councils. Increased PCSO patrols to reduce the demand on Hampshire Police for what is non crime incidents.
