Current Priorities
Issue
ASB-Haltemprice and surrounding areas
Action
We have had numerous reports from Haltemprice Leisure Centre and several youths have already been served banning letters.
-KGV playing fields was also an ASB hotspot with school finishers with around 200 children on the field.
-We will conduct high visibility patrols in known hotspot areas
-Early engagement with youths participating and ensuring that they are safe and well and causing no issues
-Continue to engage with schools to identify any youths involved in ASB and/or any offences
-Include frequent ASB Patch walks at peak times on an evening and weekends from both PCs and PCSOs
-Patch walks have been booked in on specific days, however I will also default to this area in any downtime to conduct further patrols
-Effective use of Fairway Letters to target offenders and tackle ASB early on
-Liaison with both Haltemprice and council ASB team
Issue
Retail Theft
Action
-Retail theft continues to be a priority in this period
-Notable locations are Morrisons on Springfield Way. This has been targeted for shop thefts and an outstanding robbery
-Staff will be engaged with
-Regular patch walks in the area
-Police surgeries to be held inside the store and/or on the retail park.
-The retail park in its entirety is also a hotspot for theft due to the close proximity of shops
-The retail area has been included in patch walks to engage with shop staff, customers and to deter any offending in the area
-Anlaby retail park has also been identified as an area to conduct ASB and hotspot patrols.
-Patch walks have been scheduled in this area
Issue
Road Safety
Action
-Humberside has seen a vast amount of fatal road traffic collisions so far in 2025, already exceeding the total number for 2024.
-There have been numerous RTCs on the junction of Westoby Lane/Comberdale Hill
-There have been RTCs at both Willerby retail park roundabout and Skidby/Cottingham/A164 roundabout
-Tranby Lane has also seen a few accidents in the previous period
-I am planning on booking in some Pro Laser deployments in target areas
-I have, and will continue to, liaise with traffic officers for them to pay attention to these area when on patrol and consider their own speed safety measures.
