Current Priorities
Issue
Police are aware of reports of anti-social behaviour around Sainsburys.
Action
We are aiming to reduce calls for service and incidents of anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the area. Regular patrols will be conducted at Sainsburys and officers will use local knowledge and local schools to identify offenders.
Where youths are identified causing or being involved in ASB, we will look to take positive action against them. Where appropriate, we shall work with our partner agencies to divert offenders from committing anti-social behaviour.
Issue
Speeding and Road Safety is a concern to the local community
Action
We aim to tackle this concern with speed checks in the area. We will issue education and warnings to offending vehicles. We will also use our local Community Speedwatch volunteers.
Issue
We receive reports from the community about people potentially producing/dealing and selling illegal drugs
Action
We will listen to the community and act on information and intelligence given to the police by means of conducting Warrants and Stop Searches when lawful to do so. We will bring offenders to court alongside referrals to support agencies for substance misusers.
Issue
Groups of youths have been gathering in wooded areas in Pocklington and near Kilnwick Percy Golf Club
Action
Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) concerns have been raised in relation to noise, damage, setting fires and possibly taking drugs
Officers are conducting regular patrols in the area with a view to identify those involved and deal with any offences as well as liaising with partner agencies to divert offenders away from committing ASB
