Derelict Cooplands Factory

Youths gaining access to abandoned factory site over a 10 foot fence.

Calls for service have been received from residents on Lorraine Street and the surrounding area with regards to youths entering the old Cooplands Factory. The building has been secured and further calls will be monitored. Local residents that have been effected have been spoken with and we will continue to work with partners to deal positively with those entering the building and causing damage.

Drug Dealing on Holderness Ward Area

Please let us know of any suspicious activity on the ward area that you believe is linked to drug dealing/activity.

On 02/09/25 we located and dismantled a large cannabis grow at a property off Lorraine Street.

We continue work to disrupt drug dealing, from street level to cultivation. The communities input is vital to this so please report any concerns however small via 101/999 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers 0800 555 111. Crime Stoppers will never reveal your identity.

East Park and Holderness Road around the area, safety and enjoyment of the park.

Engaging with the Community to ensure everyone enjoys the park.

Our Neighbourhood Summer Plan this year has a focus on East Park and Holderness Road as a wider area. We know that East Park is a fantastic site within the city for families and individuals to enjoy and we are working closely with partners to keep it as safe and enjoyable as possible. This includes inputs within schools and engagement on the park itself particularly around the dangers of diving into the water and swimming within the ponds.
