Current Priorities

Issue

Vehicle Crime- Theft From Motor Vehicles

Action

To reduce residents from becoming a victim of crime through prevention and partnership working.

We are focusing on hotspot areas especially those popular with visiting tourists.

Officer leading and planning on the priority is PCSO 7751 Emma Goodey.

Issue

Anti-Social Behaviour- Nuisance motorbikes/cars

Action

We understand the impact and distress that nuisance motorbikes/cars can cause for the community, and we are committed to tackling this issue.
The local team are actively dealing with this issue through working closely with dedicated officers for Operation Yellowfin. We also have other resources available to us which are invaluable, such as working alongside colleagues from Humberside Fire and Rescue to utilise their drone and operators, giving us a much better chance of delivering positive results.

Humber talking is often completed in the areas that are most affected by these issues and information and intelligence provided by local residents is key. Information can be passed through the following methods- Telephone 101, Website Portal or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 (this can be done anonymously), this in turn will allow us to tackle those individuals affecting your area.

Officer leading and planning the priority is PCSO 7582 Jenny McKie.

Issue

Community Engagement

Action

We are aware that the public want to see police more in the area, and we, as police officers and PCSO’s, want the same. Our team will be out and about in your local area and encourage you to stop and say hello. We are always happy to listen to your issues and see what we can do to help. You will also find us heavily involved in local community events in the Haverstoe, Humberston and New Waltham ward areas.

Please have a look at Humberside My Community Alert, this is a two-way community messaging system operated by Humberside Police. The system helps us to connect with our communities, it tells people what is happening in their area and allows them to respond directly with any information.

The system is designed to allow people who register to choose the type of information they would like to receive concerning crime and anti-social behaviour, witness appeals, crime prevention, community events and local good news. Subscribers will not be notified about every crime or incident that happens in their community. Our aim is to send relevant information where we believe to do so will reduce the opportunity for crime and anti-social behaviour or will help Humberside Police solve a crime.

We are invigorating our social media output and encourage you to follow our social media sites. Please see future engagement events on the event tab on the website- come and see us!

Officer leading and planning the priority is PC 335 Dan Mosley.
