Current Priorities

Issue

Nuisance vehicles.

Action

A Section 34 Dispersal Order is regularly implemented and publicised through local media to deter nuisance vehicles. This order gives police additional powers to direct individuals to leave a specified area if their behaviour is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress. It serves as both a preventative measure and an enforcement tool to address ongoing issues with nuisance vehicles.

Issue

Youth involved in disruptive activities.

Action

Beat officers have actively engaged with local youths and, in collaboration with the Child Centred Policing Team, have offered appropriate youth diversion opportunities such as the West Faversham Community Centre Youth Club. The Local Policing team is also working closely with schools to support extracurricular activities and, where necessary, to help identify young people involved in antisocial behaviour.

Issue

Drunken behaviour.

Action

Police have carried out operations involving the Licensing Team and the Community Safety Unit to ensure licensed premises are acting responsibly. These checks are part of ongoing efforts to maintain safety and compliance. In addition, night-time economy patrols have been conducted to provide a visible police presence and support community reassurance.
