Current Priorities
Issue
Antisocial behaviour - general.
Action
Marked high-visibility patrols are being carried out in the ward by local beat officers, supported by the Neighbourhood Task Force’s Problem-Solving Police Community Support Officer. Appropriate Proactive Management Plans will be created to document the activity, including the powers, policies, and legislation used to support it.
Beat officers will maintain close contact with the local community to gather information and intelligence, and to highlight positive outcomes through the My Community Voice platform.
Issue
Criminal damage.
Action
Recent reports have highlighted incidents involving young people using catapults to target wildlife, passing vehicles, and buildings. Beat officers will work alongside the Child-Centred Policing Team and the Antisocial Behaviour Team to identify offenders and take positive action. This will include delivering educational sessions in schools and considering the implementation of a Proactive Management Plan.
Positive outcomes and community engagement will be shared through the My Community Voice platform.
Issue
Dog fouling.
Action
As this is a Local Authority matter, residents will be provided with details on how to report it via the Maidstone Borough Council website. This reporting process will also be promoted during ward cluster meetings and local community surgeries.
