Current Priorities
Issue
Antisocial behaviour.
Action
Marked high-visibility patrols are being carried out in the ward by local beat officers, supported by the Neighbourhood Task Force’s Problem-Solving Police Community Support Officer. Appropriate Proactive Management Plans will be created to document the activity, including the powers, policies, and legislation used to support it.
Beat officers will maintain close contact with the local community to gather information and intelligence, and to highlight positive outcomes through the My Community Voice platform.
Issue
Fly tipping.
Action
Beat officers and Neighbourhood Task Force staff will patrol areas where fly-tipping has been reported and will work in partnership with the Council’s Waste Crime Team to carry out joint operations. They will also check waste carrier licences and inspect vehicles suspected of transporting scrap to ensure all documentation is valid and compliant.
Issue
Wildlife crime issues.
Action
Recent reports have highlighted incidents involving young people using catapults to target wildlife, passing vehicles, and buildings. Beat officers will work with the Child-Centred Policing Team and the Antisocial Behaviour Team to identify those responsible and take appropriate action. This will include delivering educational sessions in schools and considering the introduction of a Proactive Management Plan. Positive outcomes will be shared through My Community Voice.
