Current Priorities
Issue
Antisocial behaviour - general.
Action
Marked high-visibility patrols are being carried out in the ward by local beat officers, supported by the Neighbourhood Task Force’s Problem-Solving Police Community Support Officer. Appropriate Proactive Management Plans will be created to document the activity, including the powers, policies, and legislation used to support it.
Beat officers will maintain close contact with the local community to gather information and intelligence, and to highlight positive outcomes through the My Community Voice platform.
Issue
Road safety issues.
Action
Speed checks are being carried out by beat officers, specifically targeting speeding vehicles, road sign violations, and the unlawful use of e-scooters and e-bikes on the highway.
Issue
Wildlife crime issues.
Action
Beat Officers work closely with both the Rural Task Force and the Neighbourhood Task Force when these types of crimes are reported. Stop-and-search powers are regularly used, particularly to check young people for catapults and similar weapons.
