Current Priorities

Issue

Antisocial behaviour - General.

Action

Beat officers are carrying out regular patrols to address general antisocial behaviour(ASB). Where appropriate, ASB legislation is being used to take enforcement action. We are also working closely with partners including youth services, the local council, Whitefriars, the Business Improvement District (BID), individual retailers, and transport companies to identify offenders, divert offending behaviour, enforce against criminal activity, and support victims of crime and ASB.

Issue

E-scooters and/or nuisance motorcycles.

Action

We are delivering educational sessions in schools and sharing public messages to raise awareness about the legal use of e-bikes and e-scooters. Illegal e-scooters and e-bikes, particularly those used in an antisocial manner, are being seized. Antisocial behaviour legislation is being used to target individuals enabling these offences. In addition, operations are being carried out to identify and deal with offenders, supported by intelligence gathering and joint patrols with partner agencies. This also includes targeted action against nuisance off-road motorcycles.

Issue

Road safety issues.

Action

Speed checks are being carried out at key locations in response to local concerns around road safety, with the aim of promoting safer driving and reducing the risk of accidents.
