Antisocial behaviour - General.

Hotspot patrols are being carried out, with officers working alongside partner agencies to use available tools and powers to address persistent and complex issues. A youth activity strategy is being developed and delivered in collaboration with partners. Educational sessions, including information on the misuse of catapults, are being delivered in schools and through the 'Safety in Action' event to inform and deter inappropriate behaviour. Enforcement with partners of the Town Centre Public Space Protection Order.

Theft - shoplifting.

Visible patrols are being carried out in retail areas to detect and deter offending. Regular plain clothes operations are also taking place to identify and arrest offenders. Officers are working closely with Shopwatch partners to gather intelligence on repeat and high-risk offenders. Enforcement tools such as arrest, bail conditions, and criminal behaviour orders are being used to manage risk. Opportunities are being explored with retailers and partners to improve security and prevent retail theft. Efforts are also being made to address the root causes of shoplifting, particularly substance addiction.

E-Scooters and/or nuisance motorcycles.

Targeted patrols and regular multi-agency operations are being carried out to address illegal vehicle use, with seizures and prosecutions where appropriate. Officers are using antisocial behaviour and Road Traffic Act powers to deal with repeat offenders. An educational programme is being delivered in schools, including participation in the 'Safety in Action' event, to raise awareness and discourage inappropriate behaviour.
