Current Priorities

Issue

Dog fouling.

Action

All relevant information about dog fouling incidents has been shared with key stakeholders, including the Local Authority’s Dog Wardens and Environmental Health Department. These teams will review the reports and take any necessary action to help keep public areas clean and safe.

Issue

Fly tipping.

Action

All relevant information regarding fly-tipping has been reviewed and analysed, with the findings shared with key stakeholders, including Environmental Health and the Local Authority’s CCTV team. The Beat Officer is working with partners to identify peak times, vehicles involved, and the individuals responsible. A joint operation is being planned with partner agencies to target illegal waste carriers.

Issue

Noise disturbance.

Action

Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) logs are reviewed daily. These logs record incidents reported to the police, including those related to nuisance noise. Relevant information is shared with the Local Authority’s Environmental Health, Housing, and Licensing departments, and where appropriate, discussed further at safeguarding meetings.

Working with our partners, we are educating communities—through newsletters, leaflets, and online messaging—on how to report noise complaints to the appropriate authority. Where noise disturbances fall under the council’s responsibility for enforcement, the Beat Officer will continue to support partner agencies as needed to help address and manage these concerns effectively.
