Drugs.

Both plain clothes and uniformed officers have been deployed, using powers under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act (MDA) and other relevant legislation. This includes the execution of MDA warrants and use of Section 18 powers where applicable. Officers are working in partnership with housing providers to target specific addresses known for drug dealing. Intelligence is being developed to accurately identify and target repeat offenders, with priority individuals being raised as nominal targets. In addition, drug operations have been carried out on multiple occasions at licensed premises to address drug use in those settings.

Road safety.

Beat officers are conducting regular patrols and are using antisocial behaviour and Road Traffic Act legislation where appropriate to address road safety concerns.

Fly tipping.

Information relating to fly-tipping is passed to council enforcement teams when available, enabling them to take appropriate action.
