This neighbourhood covers Evington village, Evington Park, Leicestershire Golf Club and three secondary schools. There is a good selection of retail outlets in the area and Goodwood includes several places of worship for local residents. In addition the Leicester General Hospital is a major landmark that is within this ward.

Issue

Reports from the public concerning road safety.
Including inconsiderate parking, excessive speeding and general non compliance with road traffic legislation amongst other complaints concerning anti social behaviour with vehicles.

Action

Operation Syphon was very successful last year in targeting road safety concerns.
Were planning to conduct further Op Syphon road safety operations across the local policing area.

Issue

Operation Groove.
Our local policing operation to prevent a rise in crime and anti social behaviour during the lighter summer months.

Action

This operation will begin as of the 1st July, please see our face book page and our neighbourhood link newsletter for regular updates on Operation Groove.

Issue

Commercial Theft and Shoplifting

Action

We continue to target those responsible taking action wherever possible.
Taking prompt and effective action against those responsible for theft and kindred offences.
We have arrested and given bail conditions to some of those committing crime at our local stores.
It is important that we maintain pressure on those that would cause most harm to our commercial premise and local businesses.

Issue

Theft relates offences at the Leicester General Hospital Site.
Including theft from motor vehicles and other theft offences.

Action

This is a new priority which will be active from the 1st July.
