Current Priorities

Issue

Drug use and cultivation is a common issue and one that we continually try to tackle.

Action

Officers from our Force Priority Team executed a Warrant for the ‘Concern in supply of Class A Drugs’, ‘concern’ meaning you were involved in a drug supply operation, even if you didn't directly handle the drugs. The property, located in Braunstone Town was searched and a male at the address was arrested. A number of items were seized including various powders, rocks and blocks of suspected drugs. These have been sent off for analysis. This is very much a live investigation. The male has been bailed whilst further enquiries take place.

Issue

General Road Safety has been highlighted including speeding and driving offences in general.

Action

Officers attended Braunstone Town Fete and around 100 ‘Tales of the Road’ booklets were handed out to children as well as high visibility items. Advice was given to lots of parents about appropriate car seats.

Issue

There is a perceived issue with offences happening with and around vehicles.

Action

An insecure tipper truck had some of its contents removed from the bed of the truck. Unfortunately these were not secured. Enquiries continue and patrols have been targeted.
