Issue
The local community have raised drug related issues as a new priority for the beat team.
Action
Over the last month the beat team have been developing intelligence we have received about drug dealing/offences across the beat with the aim to take enforcement in the near future. If you have any information regarding drug offences, you can report this to us via our website or if you wish to do this anonymously you can do this via Crimestoppers.
Issue
Road safety has been flagged as an issues and encompasses anti social driving in the form of car cruising.
Action
Road safety had been highlighted as a local priority for Blaby, Whetstone, Glen Parva and Cosby. Last week we received reports of vehicles driving in an anti-social manner in the Rose Way industrial estate in Blaby. The beat team are in the process of collecting CCTV and will be issuing section 59 warnings to those involved. In March the speed van visited the B582 Little Glen Road, Glen Parva for 1½ hours and captured 12 vehicles in excess of the speed limit. They also visited Croft Road in Cosby for 1hr 40mins where by 17 vehicles were captured.
Issue
Over the last 3 months Burglaries have been highlighted as a community concern.
Action
Since the 1st April 2025 we have had no residential burglaries reported across the beat however we did have one report of young people attempting to break into a shipping container. 4 youths have been identified as being involved and are in the process of being interviewed for this.
