Where ASB has occurred reports have been made and identifiable perpetrators have been dealt with. We have been linking in with the local authorities to work together to solve problems around the area.

With the nice weather continuing, and use of the parks in Earl Shilton and Barwell getting even more popular, just a reminder to you all that the parks are all covered by a Public Space Protection Order. The aim is to reduce ASB, Damage and
general nuisance behaviour. Signs in relation to this are placed around all parks as a reminder to be responsible when having fun and not to spoil the locations for
others.

Drug dealing on the beat is still a priority. We are always looking for opportunities to gather sufficient intelligence to enforce by way of drugs warrants. Any opportunity to disrupt drug dealing will be grasped by the team. We continue to welcome any information concerning local drug dealing activities in your area.

A policing operation which uncovered drug dealing gangs operating between Leicestershire and the West Midlands has led to eight men being jailed. Evidence gathered over a year by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit led to the discovery of the two groups, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and in the West Midlands, who were involved in the collection, distribution and sale of class A drugs. As the investigation continued, members of the groups and their roles were further established which led to the arrests of the eight men in April last year. On Friday (11 April), those eight men were sentenced at court to a total of more than 60 years’ imprisonment after all pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

We received an early hours call to a car on its side, one arrested for drink driving. When we run Op Flux targeting drink and drug drivers we still get asked 'haven't you got anything better to do?' - nope! There is nothing better than getting an illegal, unsafe driver off of the road to keep you and your loved ones safe on the Hinckley & Blaby roads!
