Current Priorities

Issue

We want to work towards reducing the opportunities for dwelling burglaries across Knighton, by working with residents and partner agencies.

Action

This is an ongoing priority for the Knighton area and as such forms part of our daily business. We have worked on identifying which streets have been targeted the most in the past and increasing our presence in those specific areas. You might see us parked in the area during the hours of darkness. The officers may be catching up on some admin, but by doing that in key areas, we hope to deter further offending.

Issue

Anti-social behaviour in the area of South Knighton Road.

Action

We have increased our presence in this area and carried out engagement with residents in the area.
A warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed at an address and we are working with the local authority to tackle the issues being raised.

Issue

The use of e-scooters and illegal e-bikes across the area.

Action

We are trying to get a better understanding of the issue, such as where and when are the worst times for this issue. Please contact us if you can help, as this will help us to tackle the issue more effectively.
Whilst enforcement is part of daily business, we are arranging set dates for targeted enforcement, using extra resources. We are going to continue working on this priority for the next two months as part of our Safer Summer operation.
